„A Sage in New Haven“ ist eine Hommage an Professor Robert R. Wilson, emeritierter Hoober-Professor für Religionswissenschaft und emeritierter Professor für Altes Testament an der Yale University. Die Festschrift setzt sich aus zwei Teilen zusammen. Jeder Abschnitt repräsentiert ein biblisches Korpus beziehungsweise einen Studienbereich, für den Bob Wilson bedeutende Beiträge geleistet hat. Teil I befasst sich mit Themen im Zusammenhang mit den Propheten und Teil II mit den Schriften, dem alten Nahen Osten und ihrer Wissenschaft.
